| John J. Hopkins
The son and grandson of ironworkers,
John Hopkins was taught the value of hard work at an
early age. Working out of Ironworkers Local 392 in East
St. Louis, Illinois, John financed his college and law
school by working in the trade. The lessons learned
on the job site have guided him well through his 26
years of practice, representing the interests of working
men and women throughout the Southern Illinois area.
Mr. Hopkins focuses his practice in
the areas of medical malpractice, personal injury, nursing
home litigation and workers compensation. He has
achieved success before both the Illinois and the United
States Supreme Court, and in the year 2000 was voted
as the best attorney in the Tri-City (Granite City)
area. In 2002 Mr. Hopkins was elected as a Fellow of
the American Bar Association, an honor reserved for
less than 1% of the legal profession.
Mr. Hopkins lives in Alton, Illinois,
with his wife, Margaret, and three children, Brian,
Michael and Bridget, in a restored ante-bellum home
(circa 1840).
